Northern Builders, Inc. was founded in 1927 by the late Paul Grusecki. In the last 75 years, Northern, at the guidance of Mr. Grusecki, his wife Mary and now his two sons, James and Thomas, has grown into one the leading Commercial Real Estate Developers in the Chicagoland area. As a privately held company, Northern automatically distinguishes itself over institutional developers with an entrepreneurial business strategy.

Northern's portfolio includes over 4 million square feet of industrial space and near one million square feet of office space. Northern, which started as a general contractor, continues to pride itself as one of the last few developers with an in-house general contracting company. Northern also manages its entire portfolio from the same office which houses the development and contracting groups.
